The Observable Universe

The observable universe refers to the portion of the entire universe that we can observe from Earth, given the finite speed of light and the age of the universe. It encompasses everything that light has had time to reach us since the Big Bang, around 13.8 billion years ago. Number of Galaxies: Current estimates suggest there are at least 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe. Age of the Light: The farthest objects we see emitted their light over 13 billion years ago, but due to the expansion of the universe, they are now over 46 billions light-years away. OBSERVABLE UNIVERSE COMPARED TO ENTIRE UNIVERSE: The observable universe is limited by how far light has traveled since the Big Bang—about 13.8 billion years.
